Te Quiero Mucho Mi Corazon...mmmmm chicken!

A staple in any Californians diet is Mexican food...am I right?

This is a little piece of heaven in the middle of Carlsbad. Pollos Maria is an affordable, tasty choice for a meal. This delightful restaurant has been serving up the finest and freshest ingredients for 24 years.

I have searched for a finer charbroiled chicken and have come to the same conclusion over and again...one must not exist!

There is only one delicious dish, at Pollos Maria, which contains lard and that would be the amazing tamales!

Award-winning salsa is just one of the many items you can sample while hanging out in the charming courtyard.

I have tried just about everything here but, I have to say that my fallback favorite, my go to guy is the bean and cheese burrito with sour cream and red sauce! LOVE it!

Pollos Maria does more than serve up great fare in their Carlsbad location; they cater Home Parties, Weddings, Corporate Functions and Picnics. Pollos Marias has a sister location in Oceanside, as well.

So if you are looking to host a party or just have a romantic meal let Pollos Maria be your choice!

Where the Wild Things Are!

The Den is hands down one of the hippest places in Carlsbad. Garnering RAVE reviews has created a steady stream of clientele for five years strong!

They have been having so much fun at The Den, that they opened a sister store in neighboring Encinitas.

It is not only the fashion that keeps the fans coming back, but also the staff! A customer at The Den is a friend. He or she becomes someone who is not whisked around and rushed into a purchase; rather they are treated with undivided attention and waited on as though they have their own personal valet.

The clothing and accessory lines are impressive. They include but are not limited to 7 Diamonds, Paige, Mek Denim, Rock Revival, Affliction, Monarchy, Roar and many more.You can bet if it is sold there, it is on the hot list.

New items come in seasonally and the Proprietress, Mary Steely, knows her stuff. Mary uses her knowledge in Business and Marketing to keep her store stocked with desirable merchandise which in turn, combined with the killer one-to-one service, keeps her successful.

Personally my favorite part of The Den, was seeing my old friend Mary again! I enjoyed seeing her in her element! She is all smiles and it brought back fond memories of her behind the counter at Whit's so many years ago!
