Is there a doctor in the house?
I really love my doctor.
He practices here in the heart of downtown Carlsbad, in a quaint two doctor practice he shares with his wife.
He is kind and listens to me when I speak.
He has a knack for medicine. He understands and leans toward alternative treatments.
I will survive my malady, this time :)
I just wanted to give a holler to the man who makes many of us Carlsbad residents feel better!
Many thanks, Dr. Ajir.

House of D
Definitely a beach day...a hang by the pool day.
It is a perfect day to spend outdoors! It is warm. It is beautiful. It is a good day.
As a Carlsbad resident I feel blessed, that almost year round, our weather is friendly!
So grab your sweetie, your kids, your friends or a good book and head outside to soak up some D!

Thursday eve
It is a lovely Carlsbad evening, with cricket bugs and a breeze.
I had a meeting this afternoon and became the Chairman of my community's Social and Recreation Committee...look at me go!
Thank you for your support. Ahead are good times and reveling...reminding me that...
It is also an old friend's birthday! With that...Happiest Birthday Josh...this is for you
All The Days
The days behind you,
Those filled with high school friends,
Parties where your band rocked us ‘til wee hours,
And Punk and Rock and Metal…
The days where anyone who knew you
Knew you would always keep your feet planted
While your spirit soared!
As we all grew up
Some went away and some stayed
But always the band brought everyone together again
And how you played!
All the days as a Front man
Never once, were you selfish with your gifts
You shined while performing and surrounded yourself with great friends
Each, great musicians who had a common respect for the song
And that love came across in your music.
Now your brightness is visible from space
And you have changed lives and made friends with your music.
You have realized boyhood dreams and unknowingly
Taken us all along for the ride
Wherever you stand
Your position on stage matters not
You will always be the Front man to your fans
You will always be Josh to your friends
And in all the days of the world,
Carlsbad and the gray blue house with the owl
And the Cantina
Will forever tie you to your roots
As a high school kid who graduated from garage bands
To playing Arenas,
Who changed the world…
But never altered who he is.

Run Run as fast as you can...
I went for a run this afternoon, bathed in the glorious Carlsbad sunshine!
I ran behind the quiet homes in my own neighborhood.
As I ran, I thought about all the work I had completed today. I thought about how my work made me feel. I thought about the way my work influences others.
My conclusion...My work does not fulfill me spiritually.
I feel that there is a universal change happening and I am being drawn to participate.
Although money is nice; enough to pay the bills and allow me a comfortable existence...it is not the driving force behind my need for change.
I would work for free if it meant a life with happiness again, a life with meaning and a job that kept me satiated.
I was unable to outrun my dilemma today, however, I did have a lovely run past bunnies and lizards who also undoubtedly were entranced by the lure of the afternoon sun.
Good evening Carlsbad!
