I have taken my husband to two new places to eat recently, and both are real winners!

In Carlsbad, Elevation Burger cannot be matched, but it can be topped! The burgers are sold plain and then topping are listed separately. They are made to order, and additional toppings are no extra cost. The beef  is 100%  grain fed, free range, and ground daily! There are several unique toppings like spicy relish, and organic bacon. Even the soft drinks are cool! Bill's Vanilla Cream Soda with cane sugar! Mmmmm . Elevation Burger is a tasty way to start your day! As a side note, I did not AT ALL feel full after indulging in the delightful burger which is a huge plus in my book! Elevation Burger also has the 7 club, where if you buy 7 patties, you earn a free one...a frequent eaters club so to speak!

Place number two is on the edge of Carlsbad, in Oceanside. It is Panca Peruvian Rotisserie. What a special treat! We were hungry, and we happened to be right out front of the restaurant, sitting in traffic! We turned ourselves around and went in. Rod had the 1/4 chicken and I had the Chicharron! My taste buds wanted to be called my tasteBFF's after eating that delectable, succulent pork! Whoa! It was so yummy. They offer a sauce on the side that is almost a spicy mustard thing!  Chef and staff were all eager to see how we liked our food! Local pride...my favorite!

We had two new food experiences, helped small businesses, and enjoyed time together! It was a win-win for everyone! I would highly recommend either place, and I will be frequenting them again!

Sunny, lovely and Saturday brought with it a visit from my BFFs.

All is quiet now, but Stanley Cup Finals Game 5 has begun,

 and it is about to get LOUD!!!!
